I have had the most magical wedding experience from the minute I chose the dress right until the end of my wedding weekend

 

When I started looking at wedding dresses I knew the style of dress I wanted and once I saw one of the Dando collection dresses online and decided that was the style of dress I wanted. Living in Scotland there was limited choice of bridal salons stocking the Dando collection so my mum messaged Christine directly and was surprised to receive a message back. We arranged an appointment with Christine and had an amazing time with all the staff in the salon and the beautiful Zoe who we loved from the show.

 

Christine, Zoe and the team at Confetti and Lace could not have been more lovely tome and mum. I could not decide between two dresses but Christine said she would be able to merge the two dresses together as I loved the detachable train.

 

We met the tv crew and really enjoyed chatting to them even though I was not part of the show. After being asked to go on the Tv show I decided that I would agree to the filming and i am glad I did as it was such a fun day. The day flew by and I saw my dress for the first time since I bought it. I remember panicking that the dress would be too big for me as I had lost a lot of weight since buying the dress the year before.

 

Christine was lovely and said that she would sort the dress out for me to fit my size. When I saw the dress for the second time I just couldn't wait to put the dress on I had been so nervous about what it would look like but I needn’t have been. Christine had taken all my ideas and preferences into consideration and everything just came together perfectly. The moment I saw myself in my dress I just knew this was the dress for me.  The dress was perfect and fitted into the castle theme perfectly. I felt amazing throughout the day and everyone said how amazing the dress was. I was gutted to take the dress off as I knew that was the end of a most amazing day. I can’t thank Christine Zoe and confetti and lace and SYTTD team enough for giving me the best wedding dress experience ever they are a wonderful team

Soon afterwards I had the most fantastic wedding day this year on July 7​th​ at a castle in Scotland where we live called Comlongon Castle. This castle was even more special to me as this was where my mum and dad got married 26 years ago.  Everything about the day was absolutely magical. The weather was sunny with a little bit of wind so were able to hold the ceremony outside in the castle ruins

 

 

We hired the castle for the whole weekend and my mum had arranged outdoor games and a barbecue for the night before. We played games boys versus girls and the girls won a bottle of champagne, then had a barbecue outside in the grounds and the night ended with a small hen and stag do as Murray and I were separated for the rest of the night. Mum and I stayed in the honeymoon lodge the night before the wedding and spent the wedding morning in a lovely magical bubble. We got our hair and makeup done by the lovely girls from Blushing Brides in Glasgow who were great fun to be with

 

The suite was full of fun and laughter with family coming and going and the videographer and SYTTD cameraman who was able to capture some special moments too as my mum and dad gave me gorgeous presents of a diamond bracelet and diamond earrings to match.

 

My mum dressed me in the dress and added my detachable train. I was very nervous all morning and when it came to the time to start the procession I had mixed emotions: nervous, excited and emotional.  A small wind appeared and started blowing my veil and hair, and despite the bridesmaids trying to hold on to the gorgeous train we had to let the wind take it

 

 

When the ceremony was commencing my dress sat lovely down the steps although there was a slight wind blowing it across my back.  We had two bands playing at our evening reception which both bands mean a lot to us both. We danced the night away and our first dance song was Perfect by Ed Sheeran. The night finished perfectly by us having a lovely firework display. The day could not have went any better!
